Short answer: The chef brings the grill, propane and food. You provide a flat outdoor spot, tables and chairs for guests, plates, utensils and drinks — or rent our tables.
1. Pick the grill spot
Choose a flat, hard surface outdoors — a patio, deck, driveway or firm lawn — about 6 by 4 feet. We only cook outdoors, but the spot can be under a covered patio, awning or tent.
2. Arrange the tables
Set tables in a straight line, an L-shape or a U-shape facing the grill so every guest can see the show. Leave a walkway for the chef. Browse our party photos for layout ideas.
3. Plates, utensils and drinks
Unless you book our $10/person rental, have plates, forks or chopsticks, napkins and cups ready at each seat. You're free to serve your own drinks — sake, beer, lemonade or anything your guests like.
4. Plan for Ohio weather
Central Ohio summers bring pop-up thunderstorms. Have a tent, canopy or covered patio ready. If you decide to cancel for weather, tell us at least 48 hours in advance.
5. Lighting for evening parties
String lights or patio lights make evening shows look amazing — and help the chef see the grill after sunset.
6. Share allergies and protein choices
Send us each guest's protein choice and any allergy when you book. Our food has no nuts or sesame, and gluten-free sauces and tofu are available.
7. What the chef brings
- Hibachi grill and propane
- All fresh proteins, rice, vegetables and sauces
- Cooking utensils and the show
