How much does hibachi at home cost in Columbus, Ohio?
Adults are $60 per person for any 2 proteins or $70 per person for chicken, shrimp & steak. Kids under 12 are $30 (1 protein). Every party has a $500 minimum. Sales tax and gratuity are not included (20% gratuity is suggested) and a travel fee may apply depending on your address.
What is included in the price?
Your chef, the hibachi grill, propane, all fresh ingredients, the live cooking show, and every entrée served with salad, mixed vegetables and hibachi fried rice. We set up and clean up our cooking station.
Do you provide tables and chairs?
Tables, chairs and place settings are not included by default — most hosts use their own patio furniture. If you need them, our table & chair rental is $10 per person and includes tables, chairs, utensils, plates, table cloths, set-up and clean-up.
Do you cook indoors?
No. For safety we only cook outdoors — backyards, patios, decks, balconies, terraces or under an awning. If your party is indoors, the chef cooks just outside and your guests can enjoy the meal inside.
What happens if it rains?
Ohio weather changes fast. If it rains, please provide a covering — a tent, covered patio or garage opening — so the chef can cook while staying dry. If you would rather cancel for weather, let us know at least 48 hours in advance.
Does your food contain nuts or sesame?
No, our food does not contain nuts or sesame products. Please tell us about any other food allergy when you book.
Can you accommodate gluten-free guests?
Yes. The chef brings gluten-free soy sauce and gluten-free teriyaki sauce on request.
Do you offer vegetarian or vegan options?
Yes. We cook tofu with extra vegetables, salad and fried rice for vegetarian and vegan guests at the same per-person price.
Can we give the chef our own ingredients to cook?
No. Because of insurance and food-safety rules we cannot cook food provided by customers.
When does the chef arrive and how long does it take?
The chef arrives at your scheduled time and setup takes only a few minutes. A typical hibachi dinner show runs about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on the number of guests.
How do I pay? Is there a deposit?
No deposit is required. Payment is due on the day of the event. The original HibachiPassion policy is cash only — please confirm your payment method when you book.
What is your cancellation policy?
We need 48 hours' notice for all cancellations and rescheduled parties; otherwise a $200 fee is charged.
Do you serve large events of 30+ guests?
Yes. For 30+ guests we can send two chefs — just book two reservations for the same date and time, with no extra chef fee. We also offer a buffet party tray at $35 per person (chicken, shrimp, steak, mixed vegetables and fried rice) for 30+ people.
Which areas do you serve?
We are based in Lewis Center and serve Columbus and Central Ohio, including Dublin, Westerville, Powell, Delaware, Hilliard, New Albany, Grove City, Worthington, Upper Arlington and Gahanna.
